The first major order for electric buses has been delivered to the Hamburger Hochbahn after about one year. The new fleet is already in service. Just over a year ago, Hamburger Hochbahn presented its first fully electric bus to the public - meanwhile, all 30 electric vehicles ordered at that time have been delivered. 20 eCitaro e-buses came from the Mercedes subsidiary Evobus, while 10 more Urbino nE12 electric vehicles were supplied by the Polish manufacturer Solaris. The delivery of the next outstanding 30 electric buses - 25 eCitaro and five Urbino 12 electric - will take place in 2020. These vehicles should then have a guaranteed range of 200 kilometers.
